1. How much does it cost to register or try the system?

Registration to the SlabQR system is free; anyone can register for free and open an account for one or more of the companies they own. It's important to emphasize that the terms of use only allow company managers, or someone on their behalf, to open a company account in the SlabQR system.
In light of our market entry, and throughout 2025, it will be possible to try out the system, free of charge and without any obligation on your part, for a period of one month. We'll even provide one printer and paper for your use during the trial period at no cost to you. All we ask from you are 2 things: (1) try the system out and see up close how it works, (2) if you have decided to fully implement the system in your company, pay the price of the printer and perhaps order more paper for the coming months.

2. After the trial period, how much will the monthly usage fee cost?

Like other companies operating in the B2B market (or SaaS in technical terms), we offer our services for monthly usage and consumption. For example, if your company has one warehouse, one cutting machine, and two users in addition to the manager, then you'll pay for one warehouse, one cutting machine, two users, and one manager.
Every time you need to add another resource to your company, whether it's a cutting machine, warehouse, or user, the price of the new resource will be added to the next monthly price. If you remove a particular resource during the month, the price of that resource will be deducted from next month's bill.

3. The company does not have an active credit card. Can I send you a monthly payment in another way?

In principle, we allow our clients to pay the monthly fee only via credit card in order to minimize the human interaction when it comes to money. Therefore, we recommend that you order a credit card for your company and use it to purchase our services.

4. I want to stop using the system, how do I cancel the subscription?

You can monitor, change, or stop the services your company uses by visiting the "Subscription" page in your company's dashboard.

5. How do I download a backup of the company's data?

You can easily export your inventory by clicking the "Export" button found in your company's "Inventory" page. If your company has more than one warehouse, you will need to perform the export operation in each warehouse separately.
We don't yet allow exporting the data related to the brands and products your company works with, but this will come in the future.

6. Can you help with entering the brands and products the company works with?

We can understand your desire to start using our system as soon as possible, but unfortunately we are currently unable to help you with entering them.
However, in light of the widespread demand and our desire to help with the rapid integration of our system, we have already begun developing an advanced export system that allows us to copy data from a central database to your company. As mentioned, the system is currently under development, and we expect it to be available in the first weeks of 2025.

9. Do you recommend a specific printer to work with the system?

We have proven experience at this point with a Citizen industrial printer, model CL-E321. Of course, there may be other printers on the market that can print 100×100 cm PP labels, but we have not tried them and therefore cannot recommend any of them.
However, our team is currently reviewing other printers on the market and will let you know if this is relevant. We recommend that you subscribe to our mailing list to receive such news. The registration form is at the bottom of the page.

10. When scanning the QR code, why does the software say I don't have a camera?

There are several reasons why this can happen, for example:
1. Is the camera working properly? You can verify this by running the camera software and seeing if you are able to take pictures properly.
2. Browser camera permissions are not approved or rejected. Below you will find help pages from leading browser manufacturers that can help you grant camera permissions to our software: Chrome/Chromium, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
3. Do you have a browser extension or antivirus on your device? It is possible that the camera is locked or not authorized to work because of that plugin or antivirus. Since there are countless plugins/antiviruses on the market, you'll need to talk to your company's network administrator to try to resolve the problem.
4. Other software on the device does not allow access to the camera. To check if this is the reason, close all active programs on the device and all browser tabs except the tab with our software, then try scanning the QR code again.
5. The operating system and/or browser is too old. Some devices allow you to update the operating system, so you can try that. Another option is to try a different browser. Finally, you can try a different device and see if you succeed.

11. What are the permissions of the defined roles in the system?

Below are details about the permissions of the roles defined on the site:
1. Acquisition Manager Initial system setup (such as entering brands, products, and finishes), and advanced options to manage, delete, modify, and sell items in inventory.
2. Production Manager All permissions of the Acquisition Manager, plus additional permissions that allow to manage and delete brands, products, finishes, machines, and warehouses.
3. Production Only permissions that allow viewing inventory, adding and cutting items in inventory, and creating QR codes for items.
4. Sales Permissions that allow the adding new products and their prices in the company, and the display of the company's inventory, including item prices.
In addition, company managers have all permissions which allow them to perform any action in the system.
Note: Except for company administrators and users defined as "Sales", the prices of products and items in stock cannot be viewed or changed.

12. What do the different icons that appear in the inventory mean?

We've added some visual cues to the inventory page to help you get instant feedback on the status of your items without having to click through for the information. Below you can find an explanation of each one:
1. Visibility: Someone clicked on the item and saw the additional accompanying information.
2. PDF file download: Someone clicked on the QR code and downloaded the PDF file for printing. The system cannot identify when the file was printed, but it'll identify the first scan of the item (next).
3. Print approval: Someone scanned the QR code after it was printed. This icon represents a kind of "closing the loop" from the time the item enters the system until the sticker is applied to it. We always recommend scanning the board immediately after applying it, or very close to the time of application.
4. Item without QR code: This rare icon means that the item doesn't have a QR code yet. In order to cut the item, you must first create a QR code for the item. If you cannot, perhaps due to lack of permissions, please ask one of the managers to help you.
Note: When one or more of the icons are colored green, it means that you (the currently-connected user) have performed the action.

13. Where do we download your app?

There is no need to download an app - our website is built in a modern and smart way, and it adapts itself independently when you visit it from your mobile device.
We continue to improve our platform, and it is possible that we will also launch an app that can be downloaded and installed from Apple's and Google's app stores. We'll of course inform you of this via our newsletter.
If you want to make it easier for you to connect and work with the site, however, you can install a convenient launch icon on your device - depending on whether your browser supports it of course. Here's how to do it in the leading browsers on the market:Chrome/Chromium, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

14. How can we interface with other systems, such as our accounting system?

It is currently not possible to interface with these systems.
If your software is capable of importing raw data from CSV files, our system allows you to produce such files very easily. To export the data, go to the Inventory page in the dashboard and click the "Export" button. If you only want to export some of the items, you must first filter the list by setting the required filters in Advanced Search, and then click the "Export" button.

15. Why do I see strange letters and symbols after opening a CSV file in Excel?

In some early versions of Excel, the default encoding was set to something other than UTF-8. Because our systems use UTF-8 encoding exclusively, you must open the file in Excel in a specific way so that Excel can recognize the encoding when opening the file.
Unfortunately, we cannot physically help you with this operation, but go to this help page from the manufacturer of Excel (Microsoft) explaining how to open a CSV file that was created in UTF-8 encoding.

16. How and to whom do we notify about a system failure?

Our development and planning departments will review the request in an orderly manner and provide you with a response as soon as possible.

18. I made a mistake when entering the data, and it cannot be corrected now, what do I do?

You can correct almost any information in the dashboard by clicking on it and then entering new details. If you do not see an option to update, there are several reasons for this:
1. You do not have permission to do it. Simply ask a manager to correct the mistake.
2. The system does not allow you to change the information directly. There are several steps that must be taken to change the initial information. You can ask one of the managers again what to do.
3. There is a system error. We ask that you notify us as soon as possible via the contact form so that we can resolve the problem quickly.

19. What are stickers and how do they help me? Can you give examples to illustrate?

Stickers are a marking or labeling tool for items in your inventory. You don't have to use stickers of course, and we even recommend that you set up your company without stickers at first, and then consider using stickers as needed.
Examples of use:
1. Labeling old items where the definition of "old" is up to you. You can even add 2 stickers, each with a different definition, for example: "Items older than 1 year", "Items older than 2 years", and so on.
2. Labeling items which are on sale.
3. Labeling items set aside for specific needs.
When you start using stickers, you will also be able to perform advanced searches for items with specific stickers.

22. Are there any specific instructions on how to attach the sticker on the item?

We recommend attaching the sticker in a prominent area for identification and scanning, free of dust and dry from water. For this purpose, we recommend always wiping the location with a damp cloth, rag, or paper.
Then, fold the sticker and attach it along the vertical lines that were printed for your convenience.

23. Do water, rain and sun damage the QR print?

Polypropylene (or PP for short) prints are resistant to UV radiation, heat, and water. According to our customers' experience, our QR print can withstand sunlight for up to 24 months without damage.
If the print has faded, or you want to produce a new sticker, you can easily reprint it.

24. Do you recommend a special numbering and labeling method when it comes to arranging the items in the warehouse?

We recommend grouping the goods in lines labeled A, B, C, D, etc., and numbering all columns or partitions from 1 to 20 or 30, depending on the number of possible columns in the warehouse.

25. Do you recommend mixing remainders and halves or whole slabs?

Our definite answer: No! We recommend separating whole slabs, halves, and remainders. In addition, we recommend separating vertical halves and horizontal halves, it's much more efficient and easier to arrange the goods. Of course, our system supports all of the above scenarios.

26. What is the purpose of the serial number found on the QR print?

In addition to the QR code, the serial number serves as an additional means of identification for the item so that it can be physically identified by reading the number. For example, in cases where you are unable to scan the QR code at a certain time, or if the QR code is cut or damaged.
Another case where the serial number helps: If you downloaded 5 PDFs without a serial number but accidentally printed 6, it will be difficult for you to identify which sticker was printed twice.
